Setting up my new SG 2100 motor

I live close to Downtown Los Angeles.

What satellite would be my true south satellite.

So this is the satellite that the motor needs to be aiming at the zero mark?

If so that explains why my angles are way off.

You should configure the motor with USALS on the receiver and have it move the dish over to your true south satellite (119° for example) and then fine tune the signal on that satellite. The motor itself should end up pointing directly south.

Will the sg 2100 be at zero mark when its aiming at 119?

It will be close to zero.

Activate USALS in your receiver and drive the motor to 119W. The motor will rotate slightly. Now it is time to aim!
