Share Playlist Setting

How does the Share Playlist setting in Whole Home options on the Genie HR57/700 work? I changed it from yes to no then checked the playlist in a different room. The other room still had the full list.

If the playlist share is set to no, how does the system work if two different rooms like watching the same series? Do they both need to setup a recording to get the series on their playlist?

The goal is to eliminate some of the clutter on the playlist from a four room setup. Please let me know if there is a better way to do this.

Thats probably a HR54 your referring to.

Go ahead and turn it On ... Share

Then reboot the recvrs and see if that does the trick.
There may be more to it, but thats where I would start.

If the other rooms have Genie clients (minis) you can' t change their playlists, because they are clients of the HR54 they have the same playlist.
