Should I hesitate signing up for Dish DVR service? They offered me a good deal to sign up for DVR service. All that's going on with TiVo, should I have any concerns giving them an 18-month contract for DVR service?

Just looking for opinions... thanks.

i wouldn't worry about it. Dish is trying to sell you a DVR. It is their job as the provider to make sure that your DVR works. If for some reason TIVO comes out on top of all this stuff, probably the worst that will happen is that Dish's DVR's will be running TIVO software so that TIVO gets their money.
And lets say all of a sudden the DVR's went dark, that is Dish Network failing on their side of the contract, they shouldn't be able to hold you to a contract for a service they can't provide
