Should I keep the RCA210 that I got?

I too recently complained to Directv about the problems I have been having with my Samsung 360 with ESPN and FOX. After several calls I guess they took upon themselves to send me a RCA210. It was manufactured in December 2004. I haven't hooked it up yet. My first complaint about is that it does not have a hook up for my DVD player, in which I have only two hook ups for my component jacks. Is this even worth activating or am I'm going to have the same or new problems?
