I have a DirecTV customer that we installed a Terk 4X16 switch to add more HD receivers to their system. All the standard and HD boxes are working fine except one HD box to a remote Boat House location. This RG6 run is about 200' in length. The feed to this receiver was fine when the original 4X8 switch was installed but has not since we installed the Terk 4X16 switch. We tried an in-line amplifier mounted between the 4X16 switch and the Boat House receiver with no luck. Any help in solving this issue would be welcome.

Thanks!

I looked up the specs on this multi-switch and it does support the Ka/Ku band as well as the 5LNB dish to which it is connected to.

Two thoughts is the cable solid copper center and have you tried changing ports on the multiswitch in case it is a bad switch.

Agree w/boba, but frankly IMHO, 200' off an output on that MS is kind of pushing it.

If you try the above suggestions & you can't get it to work, have you considered just mounting a separate slimline on the boathouse & being done with it? They're not that expensive anymore & it might be more reliable in the long run.
