I have used direct tv sattelite at my hunt club and suddenly this year I cannot get a signal. The only changes are that I moved my power generator behind the satellite whereas it was in front before.

My question is will the noise of a generator impact the signal I receive or should I proceed with replacing the cable and LNF.

Can I use a single channel LNF or do I need to get a dual channel. I am only using one receiver.

Thanks for any advice.

I doubt the generator noise will affect the sat signal.

If you have a DVR and need to reocrd two channels at the same time, then you need a dual output LNB.

Has a tree grown enough to block the sat signal?

There are two pine trees that are higher but they are so thin I doubt it could block the signal. These pine trees are planted pines so they are very young and not over 10 ft. Unfortunately I cannot cut the trees.

I guess I could try to move the dish to where it is unobstructed and try that.
