SIRIUS Channel Changes Coming May 5th!

Noticed this morning that my online Sirius "The Message" was moved from Ch. 66 to 32. It's still on Ch. 66 in my car.

UPDATE: They just now switched it back to 66 online. Guess they're preparing for the upcoming changes.

New game ... Sirius Roulette .... roll the chamber, pull the trigger, which channel will it be.

Guys, please do not quote me on this, but I've been looking at the programming schedule on Sirius.com website. The way it looks, I think, they are adding the XM only stations to the Sirius lineup and changing the stations names a bit from just Sirius to Sirius/XM. Cause look closely at Scotts' post. How the name of the station is changed from Sirius only to Sirius/XM. As for as Sirius/XM Love. It looks to be staying after May 5'th. I could be wrong but that is how its looking to me so far.

SiriusXM has announced that it has selected 5 groups to lease 7 channels as required by its merger agreement. These channels will serve minority and niche audiences. The operators and planned programming are as follows:
Howard University (licensee of WHUR-FM and WHUT-TV Washington, DC)
One channel each on Sirius and XM – Music and talk programming for the African American community
One channel each on Sirius and XM – Music and talk programming for the African American community, with programs from Historically Black Colleges and Universities
BYU Radio (licensee of KBYU-FM and KBYU-TV Salt Lake City)
One channel each on Sirius and XM – Music and talk programming for the Mormon community
Eventus/National Latino Broadcasting
One channel each on Sirius and XM – Spanish language talk programming One channel each on Sirius XM – Spanish language music programming
WorldBand Media
One channel each on Sirius and XM – Spanish language talk programming
KTV Radio
One channel on XM – Korean language music and talk programming

so it seems again.. they didn't plan for this sort of thing very well.. they didn't group channels well, they didn't leave space between the groupings, and that's just an inssue in numbering plans.. I mean really.. when you link numbers we humans see, to what's really broadcast, you really don't need a correlation. Just like I see ABC which is broadcast locally as Ch 7 ... as Channel 007-00 on my HD dish guide.. has no corellation to reality.. but that it helps the idiot humans who don't have the ability to jumble the numbers like a computer can..

SiriusXM has revealed its new channel lineup taking effect on Wednesday, May 4.

The new lineup consolidates many of the channels on the same number on both systems. Among the changes are the merger of Willie’s Place and The Roadhouse into one channel, the addition of Sirius Hits 1 and 20 on 20 to both services, and the move of Enlighten to Internet Only on the music side. Formerly XM Only The Power gains a spot on the Sirius lineup, the traffic/weather channels are trimmed from 12 to 8, and consolidation of Sirius Left and America Left into SiriusXM Left on the satellites with additional programming of SiriusXM Left Plus online.
No word on when the new leased channels will appear, but Channels 141 to 147 appear to be set aside from them. The new lineup also does not take into account any pending changes to the Canadian channels once the merger of Sirius Canada and XM Canada is complete. SiriusXM has a FAQ guide to all the changes here.

Same channel number for most stuff but still some differences, especially in sports.

No real changes to the "Best of" content, just new name of XM Premier or SIRI Premier.

Sadly, for some, still no MLB on Sirius.

if you have an iphone or droid or BB, you could use the app. i just checked my iphone app and enlighten is on there, unless they update the app later today and it's gone. might be one way to get it. plus if you both have a phone that can be used you could have it available to you where ever you are too. not limited to the car. i use mine each morning while taking a shower in my radio's dock in the bath.

Is kinda pissed. . They took out 6002 for good.. I used to listen to that CH in daily basis..Used to call “Love songs/Soft rock” played good o 60/70/80/90s love songs and soft rock!
Now cant find channel like that in new lineup
