When 24 comes around and the current TV deals expire, the **** will hit the fan. With ratings sinking to microscopic levels, seas of empty seats, and, in fact, most tracks removing entire seating sections, I cannot imagine any network paying anything for this. The track companies and the car owners are living off TV money. When it is gone, I expect someone to try to start a rival series, reversing most of the rule changes that have so damaged the sport.

The 22 expiration of the radio deal will be a good preview of how little the product is worth.

I gave up listening to the channel a year ago. It is just shills telling you how great the racing is, in the face of all facts and logic.
