Will "skewing" the dish to the called parameter/degrees, will give the same results as "skewing" the LNB itself?.

I am trying to reuse my Superdish, with a "Paratodos" LNB to point at AMC21 125W, and it calls out for a skew of the LNB to 44.6 degrees, since I have no way of skewing the LNB inside the arm, will skewing the dish work just the same?

Thanking you in advance.

Yep, that is what I do.

Thank You ke4est,

That is just what I will do, the dish will look all lopsided but as long that it works, that is all that matters.

Thanks for the refresher. The dish is situated very close to the side of the house, and it may not work, but I will try to see if it I can receive AMC21 @ 125W.

Could we skew a dish enough to get 30w here in MN?

I saw skew and immediately i thought... corn wheel, Onion, meat, green pepper, meat, roma tomato, onion, meat, zucchini, meat, red bell pepper, meat, onion, corn wheel...

I have food issues

Yep-the dish will look all lopsided, lol, but not to the satellite. If you have an oval dish, it is better'n skewing the lnb!

yup

did it a few years ago

Interesting! I'm getting ready to set up a Primestar (Channel Master 75E) for 30°W, and had not thought about skewing the dish quite like this. I was just going to skew the LNB.

And, skewing the oval dish at 45° could work out even better for my LOS. I could move the dish placement from the east side of the corner of my house, to the north side of the corner, then tilt the mount out to 45° going north. This would move the base of it 4 or 5 feet more to the north and slightly further away from a tree branch too.

Thanks everyone!
