Software Release 811 L 3.33

Ok, after several more horrible NBC HD experiences, I finally dug out the ol' Samsung SIR-T165 digital OTA receiver to see if too exhibited these same characteristics on it's DVI output. It turns out it did. So the fault lies with the network or affiliate, not my 811.

I seemed to have lost channels 923 thru 981. If I try to enter channel 944, it takes me to 919. My 510r receiver gets them just fine. Anyone else tried channel 944 and has the same problem.

Try doing a check switch without the coax plugged in. Then plug the coax back in and do another check switch.

I have had ver 3.33 on my 811 for about a week now and have found no new problems. On the positive side it DOES lock on KCOP-DT for me now after waiting a few seconds. It picks up the signal at 49% then briefly fluctuates around until it locks at about 70% signal. Another LA area channel I have had alot of trouble with on the 811 is KVEA-DT. When I try and tune it in the signal locks and unlocks in an endless cycle, with the picture and sound being on one second then off the next. It is like a loop of some kind that freezes up the box. The only thing that will fix it is a hard reset (pulling the power plug). When the box powers up and finds the channel again it will start happening again immediately unless you change the channel on the first blink. This has happened with every software version that has been on this unit since I got it. I think the first version I got was 3.27. Good thing I don't watch KVEA!
