Some Uplinks may be of interest to HD viewers

NFL HD doesnt have any hd progamming except for the games they plan on showing during the season right?

I believe some of the "NFL Films" shows are in HD, possibly some other shows. Hopefully they add more original content once the season kicks off.

I heard a few weeks ago they were trying to decide between National Geographic and MHD.

Glad they chose National Geographic. :)

Scott,

Why did they have to choose? Was it a matter of bandwidth? And if so, does this mean that there won't be any more new HD channels until they improve the MPEG4 encoding or put a new bird up?

Great news.

Now I need to add Starz! Since there rarely is much I care for in Showtime, maybe I will just switch.

I wish they would also add Food Network HD. I know it would make my wife happy :)

EDIT:

QUESTION --- will the new stations (other than Starz of course) be included in the standard HD packages? I have Bronze.

Food HD does not launch until June 30. Hopefully, they will carry it at that time.

It's so hard to understand why DirecTV had, what seemed to be, the inside edge on getting HD launched. Then, all of the sudden, Dish comes out kicks Rupert's butt. More content and...a DVR that can actually record the content. How could Dish pull this all together while DirecTV continues to say they'll have 120 chans by the end of the year (a statement we all know is false).

I've got everything I need in HD OTA, but I'd sure like to see a cookie tossed out once in a while (Starz would be nice).

9464 NFLHD added to TP10 at 129??

Isn't there already 4 HD h264 channels there, so this means they are trying a 5th now?

Ok, I checked tony's chart to see what was up. Apparently there was a change of ATL locals from 10 to 26 that I missed, or I just had the wrong # to begin with.

Still it's odd for them to have a tp with only 2 h264 channels on it and another tp with 2 mpeg2 channels on it, what's the point?

If you notice any other errors on my chart, I'd welcome your corrections
