Sony Blu-ray drives $160 at Fry's this weekend

I guess Fry's didn't get the no players under $200 this year memo.

Yeah, this is an internal BD-ROM. However, it's still $160.

Despite being accused of hating Blu-Ray, I still like to post useful and helpful information to those that might want to purchase stuff.

You would need PowerDVD 7.3, AnyDVD HD or WinDVD8 (with HD upgrade). The LITE-on drive comes with PowerDVD.

I think the mods already did it. Maybe I originally wrote drives? It says Sony Blu-Ray drives now.

Just make sure your video card has an HDMI output with HDCP if you plan on hooking to your TV.

It said players, which was misleading. Mods fixed it.

Cool--rather than making a new post I will note that they have Pioneer Blu-Ray ROM's/DVD writers for $150 this weekend.

The black ones are sold out at outpost.com.
