who says sony won't says sony won't sell there 49% at some point 🤔.. there's speculation going around about making a sony t.v. cheaper. wich means they cheap out on them!!!
Correct, they did that in the 2007-2015 ish era, THEN they got back to doing them right ...
In the years listed approx, they were putting out about 15 different TVs which is ridiculous ... later on they went back to making very few TVs and the Quality went up ... I moved to Pioneer Elite back then till Plasma fell out of favor.
Fwiw, I paid a LOT more for my Pioneer than I ever did for my Sony TV's ... fwiw, I Don't buy CHEAP TV's.
Sony like all the others have a Bottom and middle and a Top of the line TV again.
The Bottom line you can get at Best buy, they do sell Some of the better ones as well, but alot of them you can't get there.

it will be interesting to see if they work together or if sony just sells off there part in it.. it will be interesting to see what these cheaper sony sets will be like if they ever produce em and will the quality be the same my guess is no... sony has always been my goto for tv's there high end line not the cheapie stuff that you find in best buy!!! my choice for audio has always been Mclntosh

Nothing. I have and love 'em.

Buy I can't buy or upgrade locally as our dealer went under.

And didn't Klipsch go thru some hard times?

Anything involving the Processing ...
While Sony makes chips related to cameras and some less intensive applications, many of the high-power processors (where electrical power consumption is an issue) are built by TSMC. Chips are at the heart of "Processing".

Unlike the 1970s, consumer TVs aren't particularly modular because they aren't designed to be repaired. It is just a couple of printed circuit boards (the power supply may be its own module) with a pile of components (from resistors to VLSI chips) surface-soldered onto them.
Are we going to tear each part out and determine what Company it comes from ?
Not so much what company, rather which company it isn't (as determined by country). That's the gauntlet you threw down.

The automotive industry has to do it and print the breakdown on the Monroney (window sticker).

Cars in the future will be repaired by jacking up the hood ornament and sliding under a "new" vehicle.

Oh, WAIT!

I would imagine like everything else, there are Top, Middle and Bottom line of Chips ... depending on how much you want to put into it.

The people that will benifit the most from this adventure is TCL, where they will undoubtable gain a lot of Sony's input.

That's not so much Klipsch's fault as it is the consumer's willingness to trade customer service for cost savings.
And didn't Klipsch go thru some hard times?
They suffered when Paul Klipsch died in 2002 and the first "great recession" in 2008, but it's done okay for itself by supporting its boutique "Heritage" line with foreign-manufactured consumer gear and business consolidation, as many of its peers have practiced.

Compare this with McIntosh Labs, now owned by Bose, or Marantz, which Samsung owns through its Harmon (a residue of Harmon Kardon) subsidiary.

Last weekend I got a TCL QM6K Pro and am amazed at it. Had a friend come over with his analyzer and he was shocked and said for the price its calibration was one of the most perfect sets out of the box that he has seen.
Is this the exact TV you got?

TCL 85 Inch Class QM6K Series | Mini LED QLED 4K HDR | 85QM6K, 2025 Model | 120HZ-144HZ High Brightness Smart Google TV Dolby Atmos Onkyo Audio | Voice Remote Alexa Gaming Streaming Television

I am considering getting that one. But it doesn't have the word Pro in it. It just says TCL QM6K Series.
