Hard to believe they can deliver that for $500.

No prices has been revealed yet, prices are all rumors. $500 sounds about right though, but I won't be surprised if it is more.
They can sell it for $500 the same way dish gives free installs and Amazon sells their devices so cheap.
They make their money on games and in game purchases.
They have to make it so most can get one in their hands, or they make $0 dollars.

PS4 Backwards Compatibility. That will be nice to have.

I wonder if we'll be able to just plug our existing external HDD into it, that way we don't have to redownload everything. Because with full backward compatibility, I'll just get rid of the PS4.

Probably sell it for a loss like they did prior consoles.

PS4 came out at $400 (PS4 Pro also came out at $400), so I'd imagine a similar price point.
