Today Dish Network is holding a special retailer chat, with its main topic being Puerto Rico.

The chat is listed in the guide as a "Latino Chat" which means it could be in Spanish. While I do have limited spanish skills I might not be able to understand it. If it is in spanish I will capture any screen shots of interest and post them here in the recap, after the recap is done I will have the chat recaped by one of our spanish speaking friends.

As always with these chats we do not report any dealer sensitive information such as costs or profits. We only report on item of interest to you the consumer.

I will lock this thread now but will reopen it when I post my first update from the chat.

So far the chat is a recap of the last retailer chat. Much of the same information is gone over from that retailer chat.

They go over the new August 1st promotions in the Latino packages.

The Latino chat is scripted well, and not off the cuff as some of the other Dish chats are, but thats because those chats are hosted by the big wigs who are known to go off script often.

The DishLatino Market looks better then the US targeted marketing..

Talking about offering Internet services...

Nothing interesting to report yet.. telling retailers how to setup accounts on Dish Networks site.

They are telling retailers that as of August 1st new customers who subscribe to HD on the Western Arc must receive all MPEG4 equipment.

Now talking about the Dish Network traveling road show.

Still nothing I have seen about new HD for our friends in PR.

They talk about the cost of the new dish for the retailer.
