this may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but SNY is uplinked on 61.5 (Channel 388 tp 30) just not available.

Someone in the Mets newsgroup reported that they saw the SNY HD signal on at Shea this weekend on 388 as well.

Does this mean that we'll get it soon? What else do they have to do?

I was about to dump Dish as I have Cablevision just to get SNY-HD and with my daughter going into college this year, we are trying to trim everything back to help pay for it. I'll give Dish until the All-Star break to either turn this on or make an announcement. If they don't add it, I'll have to leave after all these years with them. They'll be losing one of their best customers too. I hope they get it because I'd prefer to give Cablevision the axe instead.

Are you saying that TVs @ Shea Stadium were using Dish Network to get the SNY-HD feed?!?

Wouldn't they have direct access to the live feed for the stadium monitors?

Hopefully, Comcast Sports Net Chicago HD gets added as apart of this launch. I'm wating on this. I think if I did get this channel I would have no Real reason to leave dish, unless someone surpasses them in channel numbers and quality. But with that said, The lack of RSN availablity on dish has been extremely disapointing. Its like taking Viagra and having nothing happen kind of disapointment.

Sent an e-mail to ceo@echostar.com today asking about SNY HD and received this reply. Maybe we are close.

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

There has been a press release announcing the release of new HD RSN’s including SportsNet New York. However, we do not have a specific date of the release at this time.

Once this information is available, I will notify you.

Thanks

As per your Press Release of May 4 (see below), Sportsnet NY HD is slated to launch this summer. Any further info on when this will launched?

Thank you for your time.

"DISH Network will continue to explore carriage of additional HD RSNs throughout the year to enhance local HD programming line-ups like SportsNet New York slated to launch this summer and Altitude which will launch this fall."

It is now summer isn't it?

Whatever could they be waiting for now? The season is almost half over.

As per the Uplink Discussion:

"Two HDSKD channels were added to 61.5° on channel numbers 5781 and 5782 on tp 30 at 61.5. This brings the total of unique HD SKD channels up to 5 at 61.5°. The SKD channels actually feed the various sports channels and packages. The HDSKD channels are not directly accessible to subscribers. However, the channels on which the games can be seen are in reality mirrors of these SKD channels. So this means that up to 5 HD sports channels can run at the same time now at 61.5°. "

SNY HD is on tp 30 at 61.5. Maybe this is a sign we'll have it soon. I hope so. Like you said, the season is almost half over.

I was at a NY Mets game on 6/18 and noticed that in the mens room plastered all over the walls were ads for Sportsnet NY in HD on Dishnetwork channel 388. The ads were created by a retailer Antennastar. I found this interesting so I called Sportsnet NY last friday to get some confirmation that they had struck a deal with Dish to broadcast in HD. Today I received a call from a rep at Sportsnet NY who confirmed that Dishnetwork will launch Sportsnet NY in HD on July 11th on channel 388.

Thanks for the info. Half a season in HD is better than no season in HD!
