Chicago suburbs.
Well I'm up and Running, thanks to all who have contributed.

My motor drive goes from 30 W. to 129 W.

Originally I thought I might be able to hit Telstar 12, but I tried the setup w/ USALS using Coolsat 5000 and it seems the HH 100 has its limits, possibly because the elevation is so low and sat is to far to the east.

Now I'm just curious if I had a chance to hit the sat , my LOS looked pretty good and the elevation of around or a tad less than 5 degrees was my only concern.

I think it would be a limitation of the motor first. When pointed to true south from the Chicago area, you would be looking at around 89 degrees, that is the longitude. So if the stab can travel -/+ 62 degrees, then 89-62=27. It would look like you would come up about 12 degrees short. Even if your motor could get you there, I think it would be really low on the horizon. Anyone from the mid-west get Telstar 12?

Indeed, unless you keep your lawn cut real short "Forgetaboutit"
