Finally started watching Lower Decks. A particularly fun and funny show, which combines enough references, whimsy, responsible plot development to work as a comic sci-fi.

I usually have "Red Alarm" going through my head at some point during a day. Nearing the end of Season four.
By the way, am I the only one surprised that Bashir and Garak turned out to be gay?
With that hindsight, I think the first episode (maybe the second as well) they interact hints at a possible relationship down the road, but past that, it always felt like a Cat (Garak) and Mouse (Bashir) relationship. Garak was Garak and Bashir was deliciously naïve and an easy mind to manipulate (please ignore how we find out later that isn't true and they decided to make up a few things that aren't entirely organic with his previous character).
