Anyone watching yet? I did not play the game so not really familiar with the source material. Really enjoyed the first two episodes. My wife was almost out shortly into the first episode "when it got gross" but she powered through.
WWZ came out in 2013 but the book ( so much better) in 2006.My coworker who has played the game said that game play isn’t really necessary to enjoy the series. I started watching last night (bad move, weird dreams!)
I wonder if “World War Z” was influenced by this game?
They did Zombies as a Hive Mind in Stephen King’s Cell novel ( do not watch the movie, absolutely awful and barely anything like the book), that came out in 2006, like I said , I played all 3 games, hive mind thing is totally different then the Cell Novel.I loved this show. I thought it was a little like Walking Dead, which I gave up years ago. These zombies are a hive mind. That is different and the actress who got killed in last episode ,used to play Oliva Dunhum on Fringe years back. Loved Fringe too.
I watched the Strain and The Borg was a cool story on StarTrek and it's other versions. Voyager did it best when they ended the series in End Game episodes that showed Admiral Janeway coming back from the future to talk to her younger self Capt. Janeway ,so she could get her crew home quicker. They both worked to outsmart the Borg Queen and blew up the trans warp network that the Borg used to travel to all the different quadrants of space. I still watch this on on Dvd from time to time. Other things with a Hive Mind that could of influenced the game/show-The Strain ( vampire worms hive mind) and , of course, The Borg.
I shouldn’t have read this thread before watching episode 2. This is the discussion thread and I should expect people to be discussing what happened in the most recent episode. These zombies are a hive mind. Yup. Hopefully I will forget by the time I watch it in a couple months.I shouldn’t have read this thread before watching episode 2. This is the discussion thread and I should expect people to be discussing what happened in the most recent episode.
My daughter loved the first game, but I never really got into it. Another post-apocalyptic zombie type show, so didn't play the game and haven't watched the show. If it turns out to be good I might, but right now it's "wait and see".Anyone watching yet? I did not play the game so not really familiar with the source material. There's 3 games? Thought there was only 2 (I remember buying the way over priced collector's edition of #2 for my daughter's birthday one year).Played all 3 games , still going to wait until March.
These came out separately at first, now 2 of them are added together in the re-mastered version-There's 3 games? Thought there was only 2 (I remember buying the way over priced collector's edition of #2 for my daughter for Christmas one year).
Okay, I remember the left behind, DLC for the PS3 version from what I remember. My daughter originally got it as part of the season pass. These came out separately at first, now 2 of them are added together in the re-mastered version-

Those 2 are now added together in The Last of Us part 1, but originally came out separately, 2013 and 2014
Then of course Part 2 was the last release.
By the way, just read that Part 2 has so much material ( it does), they want 2 seasons for it.
