Well, here I am, humble as ever. I've been trying to get Progdvb working with tt s2-3600 . Finally got the interface to show up in Device , but can't enable it , get " Run Graph Error " . The whole concept of graphing is alien to me, I think. I've been using DvbDream with autograph, and just fiddled with codecs until it worked. Any idea of how to get ProgDvb past this point ( and maybe further my education ) ? English language links would certainly be acceptable.
:)

Hi Brent,

Just disregard the error messages on start up. If you click OK the program should let you go on.

I changed the codecs.

Go to settings. Options, direct show. select codecs other then Elecard. I use Cyberlink for Twinhan DTV. go down the list and select other codecs you like.

for video renderer I use Windows XP.

Are you using a PCI card?

There is an English language pdf manual that is a free download, did you use that?

If you start out with 5.15.2 std. it might be easier. You can download Pro version which is a free trial for 21 days and gives you DVB-S2

Technotrend USB Box

Ok, I know what you are using.

You will want to try one of his USB drivers if the BDA drivers don't work.

Thanks, Tom .

It gives me a start . I found the manual ( maybe written by you ) , Mostly now, I think I have to set some codecs that will let me start the BDA card. At the moment I'm getting "run error graph" errors , but if I guess correctly, I should be able to find a set of codecs that works.

Hi Brent,

"ProgDVB must work with BDA and WDM driver. If he install BDA then
must select bda.device in options->device list, if WDM then
Nova_USB2.device."

He gives you two options.

You can uninstall and when start up screen asks for device you have a pull down screen to select BDA. Then go to settings, device list and select BDA 878.

If this is not good then uninstall and select USB device at start up then settings, device list and USB. Also in settings pull down go to device options and look at choices there if any.

It's a learning curve just like a Motorola Tech. Manual.

I've been messing with the BDA drivers, having no luck, so I'll put the WDM drivers back in. At least they were working with Tsreader last night. Thanks for the research. Prog and I swapped at least a dozen emails, getting my Progdvb registered. The registration server had no record of my purchase transaction, and both my first two keys showed up as locked. After 18 hours he got me a key that worked the first time. :)
He's dogged about support, but he's got a big job doing it.
[edit] Progdvb IS working under WDM drivers. Successfully scanning in G18 right now. Small Victory ! Thanks for the encouragement, Tom.

One thing I noticed is taht if I have success with an aspect of his program I shut it down and some times restart the PC and thinggs seem to start out right.

Best of Luck,

Tom

I'm putting this on hold for awhile. I can't get it to be consistent. Currently, the usb box isn't working in any application. Probably a driver issue, since last night it was working in tsreader ( WDM driver) , but decided to quit and hasn't worked since. It's discouraging, but I have to leave it alone for a couple days, and start over.
DVB PCI stuff isn't for the faint of heart , I'd say. Got to watch baseball now, See ya.
:)
