Streaming vs Live Picture Quality?

Last night I got 6" of snow and this morning when I changed channel a noticed popped up that the satellite signal has been lost. I assume this is due to the 6" of snow on the dish. A few minutes ago a notice came up saying the satellite signal is restored and to change back to live TV. I did this and the live TV picture quality was worse compared to the streaming PQ. Is this normal?

I will only answer this in the cord cutters area of the forum, so I do not get a nasty comment for posting about streaming in a Dish Forum.

I have Hulu and the picture is much nicer than Dish . I had a dish channel on last week and thought this can't be HD it was a local feed so not sure if dish Broadcast it in full HD .

Would assume that to be true only with fast internet service. What would be the minimum internet speed for this to occur?
