just ordered the top pkg from direct, i think its called the premier? anyways i wanna know if i need a slim 3 or a slim 5? i've been told by two different people that i need a slim 3 and the other says a slim 5? i have no clue because i live outside the states, any help with this would be awsome, also i cant find any info on the channel line up as to whats on the preimer pkg, just logos on the direct site, also do i need a switch from the dish? iam being told no and another is saying yes?

Unless you are getting local sd channels from a nearby city, the 3 lnb will get you what you want, minus a few music channels.
3 lnb vs 5 lnb depends on where your at and what channels you need.
The core programming is on the 101 and the HD comes from the 99 and 103.
Some music and international channels will be on the 110 and 119.

Switch depends on how many recvrs your planning to use and what type dish you end up with.
If you do this, better make SURE you can see the 119 bird - otherwise, you WILL have guide issues on all your receivers. And, you can't just switch it to an slimline 3 in the menu & fix the problem.

Personally, unless there are channels that you KNOW are on the 110 or 119 that you NEED, I would go with the 3 LNB set up
see the problem is iam to the north, and i cant get alot of info for the pkg that iam getting, its the total primere pkg i think, its like $105 a month, its exactly what i used to have on dish, which was called the everything americas pkg, i figure i might aswel go with the 5 instead of the 3 lnb, iam already hitting 110 and 119 on my other set up.
