No, I'm not one of the people so brainwashed that I NEED to have "cable channels" in the first place. I dumped Dish, then dumped Charter/Spectrum, and now am OTA only.

We have plenty to watch without paying a dime beyond the cost to get my outside antennas up, aimed and running correctly.

They probably include a single sub to Netflix as "streaming" in their stats.

100% of people under 30 I know watch Netflix largely on their smartphones, and many of them do not have home broadband. Now that Netflix allows downloads, at lot of them will download shows at work on wi-fi and then watch them at home.

Yep. That describes my 15-year-old daughter exactly. She watches Netflix on her iPhone, iPad or her Macbook.

Urban areas also have a lot of free Wi-Fi hotspots, put up by the major ISPs, schools, libraries, public parks systems, cafés, etc.

I just dropped Comcast Internet that I got HBO with and was watching through HBOGO that is on all my TV's and mobile devices. It's gone now and I'll have to get HBONOW that it too is on all devices and have a 20% off Gift Card. I waited until the Keynote to see what they were up to, but it's not going to be until the Fall. Supposedly, and there are a lot of suppositions out there, it's suppose to make all these subscriptions easier, all-in-one and "cheaper". We'll see. Also the new "Universal" TV app may not make it to all my TV's. I only have one AppleTV 4K in the Media Room.

So, yes. I am fatigued and getting fatigueder.

In my office group ~20 people every single one of them has either Amazon Prime or NetFlix and use them to stream shows. So yeah I can believe that 69% of people 18+ are streaming. My girlfriend's father 82yo is streaming MLB and NHL.

My parents are 67 and 69, they have Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu.

Which may be all well and good if you're within the confines of those establishments, but if you're not, things aren't always so rosy.
