EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan 26, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- DIRECTV's Wednesday night line-up is getting even more intense with the addition of the critically acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated mini-series Sleeper Cell. The gripping series tells the story of an undercover FBI agent who infiltrates a U.S.-based cell of Islamic terrorists. All 18 episodes (Seasons One and Two) will air commercial-free and in HD on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning Jan. 28, 2009, only on DIRECTV's The 101(R) Network and DIRECTV on DEMAND.

An edge-of-your-seat action thriller, Sleeper Cell first aired on Showtime network in 2005 and was met with critical praise and accolades. Starring Michael Ealy and Oded Fehr, the series takes viewers underneath the veil of a terrorist network and unfolds the harrowing challenges faced by an agent determined to uncover its dark, twisted intentions. In 2006, the mini-series received an Emmy Award nomination, Golden Globe nomination and Television Critics Association Award Nomination. Additionally, Michael Ealy earned a Golden Globe nod for his role in the second season.

I couldn't find a reference to it being aired in the US before, but I wouldn't know if it had. It is from Canada's Showcase network.

TRB starts to really find its groove after the first few episodes. Just wait! :D

According to the commercials, the TRB movie tonight on Comedy Central is going to be uncensored.
