I finally got local channels thru Dish on 77W. They installed a new dish for the house but now I need to change out my 110,119 tailgating dish. I've been told that the 1000.4 is difficult to point without a sat finder. Any pointers? (pardon the pun)

If all you are interested in for tailgating is 77W, a 300 dish with single LNB would work just fine.

Thanks for the info. I was able to get 77 and 72.7 but not at the same time. Any chance of getting 77 and 72.7 at the same time on the dish 500 with DPP twin.

Not really. The 500 was for 110 and 119, and sorta works for 72.7 & 61.5.

I've never used the 1000.4 but I use the 1000.2 (very similar) and it isn't hard at all once you get used to it.

A lot of folks say the 1k4 is hard to aim, but honestly, I've done it 3 times already, and never had an issue, except my first time when my mast was out of plumb.
