Tailgating - Local channel quesion

Is there a way to get around DTV's restriction that you dont get local channels when fire up your receiver outside your local market? Just trying to figure out a way to get local channels through DTV when tailgating short of a seperate TV antenna.

How far are you going? As long as you are within the spotbeam coverage you will still get the channels that you get at home. Assuming you are using the same dish

Nashville to Jacksonville, FL. I have already experienced the issues... just wondering if there is a work around.

Easily - no. You can call and move your service to Florida, but then you'll lose locals when you go home. Only markets available nationwide are NY and LA. You could also try applying for waivers, but in a big city, the liklihood of approval is zero. They are mostly for areas that have no station in that market.
