Hi,
would like to know if I take 1 of my home receiver to my cabin for the summer will direct tv know that I have moved it? The receiver that I plan on moving is not hooked up to a phone line. Does direct tv have some type of gps system to track the receivers? thanks alot

I do it all of the time and there is no way for them to know. I take one receiver and leave one here hooked up to the phone line.

You should know that if your cabin is too far from your home address, you will not be able to get your local channels, or the locals of where your cabin is. How far is it to your cabin?
