Retrofitting my existing install to SWM so we can use both tuners on some runs that are single wire runs.

Ordered everything from SolidSignal and waiting for it to come in.

My question is, does the SWS-8 splitter come with the required terminators for unused ports, or do I need to order some and if so, which.

I'll update as the retrofit goes along. Should hopefully be pretty slick.

None of the splitters that I've ordered has ever come with the terminators.

Gear came today, and the DTV SWS-8 splitter came with terminators (watertight to boot!).

Now to find the time to install.

Finally finished the re-wire and SWM rocks. Have splitters feeding the old multi + the SWM. Flash cut 4 DVR's tonight to SWM and works like a champ!

It may be giddy excitement, but it SEEMS like the satellite data loads a lot quicker on the SWM side than MS. Might just be me, might really be. Not sure.

I'll post pics and a design when I finish it up.

Next step is to try diplex in OTA to the SWM-8 and then pull it out on the other end.
