Thunder Bay, ON
Saturday night I was flying back home to Thunder Bay, and I tried to see if i could get the local TV channels with my tv tuner for a tablet. What I scanned in was no Thunder Bay channels, but I did get
26-1 WGBA-HD NBC Green Bay, WI and 6 subchannels
12-1 WJFW-DT NBC Rhinelander, WI and 5 subchannels
21-1 KQDS-DT Fox 21 Duluth, MN and 1 subchannel
6-1 WLUC NBC Negaunee, MI
6-2 WLUC FOX Negaunee,MI and 3 more subchannels
36-1 PBSWI Milwaukee,WI and 3 subchannels

I was just about to write down the channels, when the landing gear dropped for final approach so I put my tablet and antenna away. All of these channels are from a far distance (more than 100 miles) away. It is amazing the distance you can reach when your antenna is thousands of feet above ground level.

I have been getting some Tennessee channels here in upstate SC. They are hit and miss but could never see then before. HF radio has been insane for the last two weeks. Talking around the world, even on the CB bands!

Last week there were several tropo events in my area (Gallipolis Ohio). Antenna is a Radio Shack VU210XR @17'AGL with a Kitz 500 pre-amp. Coax is RG59 that needs replaced. Still I was able to lock channels from Cincinnati OH, Beatyville KY, Grandview WV, Clarkburg WV, and Pittsburgh PA. Saturday morning was the strongest event.

Do you even get them at home? ;)
2 & 4 are VHF Low hauling arse at 1200 watts. TVO is on VHF Hi at 4500 watts. Lowest power on those you picked up was WLUC at 100,000 watts. KQDS is highest at 1,000,000 watts

I've never had any TV signals in the last 2 years since I moved. I used to get 2,4 and 9 with rabbit ears when I lived on the 3rd floor but I was only about 7 and a half miles from the transmitter station.
The last time a got a channel from the US, I was a kid and every thing was NTSC. 100,000 watts and 1,000,000 watts? Wow. That's why I could get them with the added hight.

Will the ATSC 3.0 survive the E-skips on VHF low band?

Amazon being stupid again...
