Owasso, OK
Yesterday (10/29/03) the Tulsa CBS affiliate finally started passing HD, they had been broadcasting DTV for over a year. 15 months after I purchased my HDTV and Model 6000 all the major stations are passing HD from there providers. I think the local UPN may even try to pass some HD in the near future.

NBC Full power with HD passthrough. Up time is same as analog.
CBS 1/3rd Power with HD passthrough. I don't think they are on fulltime.
ABC Full power with HD passthrough. Up time is same as analog.
FOX Full power with EDTV passthrough. Up most of the day.
UPN Full power, NO HD yet. Up most of the day.
PBS Full power with HD passthrough. 4 hours a day.
WB Doesn't even have a DTV assignment yet. :(

PAX and 2 other religions stations. There up most of the day, SD only.

Tell us about your cities HD. How many stations? Are they passing HD?

Ok here's what I get from 10 miles outside of Hartford.

CBS - Only 1/4 power... For some reason they insist broadcasting their SD and HD signals together. I wish they would dump the SD on the Digital feed and use all the bandwidth for HD.
ABC - Full Power, HD on Channel 8.01, Weather Radar on 8.02, Sports Scores on 8.03
NBC - Full Power HD (Broadcasting from Springfield Mass - Connecticut's NBC still does not even have a Digital Signal up)
Univision - Digital Signal - NO HD
PBS - 4 Channels of SD in the day and HD at night. From Springfield Mass (No PBS HD from the Hartford PBS station yet)
UPN - Digital poor signal no HD yet. (But they claim they are working on installing HD stuff)
WB - Digital Signal no HD
PAX - Digital Signal no HD only on a few hours a day

No FOX in Digital yet.

Cortez CO.
Get Denver and Albuquerque stations off translators, No Digital, No HDTV. Not likely to change for quite a while.

I get:

ABC- Indianapolis
NBC- Indianapolis
FOX- Indianapolis
CBS- Indianapolis (LATE AT NIGHT)
WB- Indianapolis

CBS- Lafayette

Indianapolis is 75 miles away. I was very surprised!

How strong of signal do you guys get on your digital locals?

Here's an update. WABC in NYC went live yesterday :) It was about time. Since the WTC went down NYC has been without WABC OTA. It still operating on low power but if you live within 30 miles radius you can get a good signal strength. Now we need WNBC to get on board with OTA. Now we have CBS, Fox, UPN (makes you sick), WB, ABC, PBS (Various local broadcast that you make get from Long Island, CT, Manhattan or NJ depending on your location). I usually get a signal strength between 85% to 95%. I only live about 15 miles from Manhattan.

I live in the Philadelphia DMA
I am about 25miles from the main antenna farm.
My CBS, NBC and ABC give me high signal strength. All the programing in primetime which indicate HD are so.
Fox (Widescreen ) has a weaker signal but watchable
PBS and WB and now UPN are also watchable I must tweak my antenna slightly. :p

Here is what I get about 40 miles NW of the Boston towers. I can also get the Manchester, NH ABC feed even through I am about 150 degrees off axis from that tower due to its closer proximity (although at quit a bit less power). Other stations are suppose to be primed and ready to go, . . . I haven't check in awhile if they have turned on or not. Also, not 100% sure on the 44-xx PBS order, other than I get the 4 sub-stations mentioned, . . . and their quality really is poor.

Not too bad of a DT line up!!!

New Orleans

Live in the suburbs only about 15 miles from the transmitter.

CBS - Belo owned, been passing HD since May 2002
NBC - Hearst owned been passing HD since November 2002
ABC - Tribune owned, just went online in October. They did a major upgrade and combination of analog and digital for two stations that were on separat tower. Now on one. Does not pass HD. Said to be waiting on equipment.
FOX - not on the air and they are only going on at low power. They just received a use it or lose it warning from the FCC.
WB - Tribune owned. Same as ABC.
UPN - They have been on the air low powered since November 2002. They have yet to pass any HD.
PBS - We've got two PBS stations and no digital from either.
PAX - Nothing here.
Religious - We have a LeSea station broadcasting SD upconversion.

hum,

get abc/nbc/cbs in hd

fox in whatever format they broadcast(some old hdnet durning the day)

pax/wb in digital

unfortunately, I have to turn my indoor antenna to get pbs, but they are not broadcasting hd full time anyway (well, not recently anyway).

Our cbs station (wral) is probably the premier hdtv local station in the nation (or one of them). Local news in hd, various local specials in hd, all 4 ncaa tourney games at the same time on their digital channels (wral digital, and wraz digital I think).

Live in East Texas and receive the following
signals:

Tyler DMA = KETK 56-1(22) NBC

Shreveport DMA = KTBS 3-1,2,3(28) ABC
KSLA 12-1(17) CBS
KTAL 6-1(15) NBC

Of the four, the only one with HD content is KTBS.

I'm in the Atlanta DMA but am more than 70 miles from any station broadcasting digitally, and it will probably be that way until the FCC forces everyone to go digital. All my HD comes via satellite. Until recently I was considered to be in a white area for all networks, then ABC did something to change that and now I'm supposedly in the "B" zone for them (or something) though I can't even get their analog signal from the top of a mountain. Viva la Canada!

50 miles from denver, and 40 from Cheyenne Wyo, in Windsor Colorado.

I get Zip, nothing nada. :(

Have seen some SD blips from Wyo but nothing for a while.

Denver must be the furthest behind of anyone in the country after years of litigation over the new HD towers, so they are all low power broadcasts from there downtown locations.

Feel sorry for me, K.
:( :( :(

Twenty miles from Kansas City-CBS, ABC, NBC, UPN, 2-PBS's in HDTV. WB in SD(soon HDTV) and Fox on low power unable to receive yet. :D
