in the edmonton area, have a telus reciever with a dual lnb satellite. I have strong signals with 91 but cant get 82. Do i need a switch that goes behind the satellite. i can get some channels when i have the 91 active, and the others when 82 is active. when i runa check switch it sais it can reset but i might lose channels.

Need more info please.

Do you have 1 or 2 LNBF's on the Dish?
Does the LNB(s) take up half of the "Y" yolk on the front Dish, or all of it?
What model Receiver?
Is this a new Installation?

Just as an FYI;

A Dual LNBF takes up 1 slot on the "Y" Yolk.
A Twin or Quad LNBF takes both slots of the "Y" yolk.

Telus satellite is basically BellTV but in the west
same receivers (Dish receivers with Bell or Telus software in it)
same satellites (82 & 91)

I am well aware of the way Telus Sat works.

I am trying to find out if he has 2 x Duals or a Twin LNBF and if he has them (it) aimed correctly.

My guess would be 2 x Duals and he needs an SW21 but until he answers I don't know.
