Thank you Dish!

While I seldom say it, I'd just like to thank Dish. This morning I woke up to a free year of Starz, the FX channel being in the Top 120 package, and the external hard drive feature enabled for free. All of this without a single phone call. I know my bill went up and I'm not surprised but I can't recall every getting anything for it other then the same service. The benefit outweighs the cost big time.

I'm happy to be getting Starz for no additional fee... and for a year at that. An unusual give by the Dish or Cable companies. Sadly, I won't be watching Starz this afternoon. I'll be watching FSC HD, where Dish Net was one of the first to offer it in HD.

Hey, I just went online and signed up for HD for LIFE. While it still requires Autopay and Paperless, it DID NOT require a 24 month commitment. This is freaking awesome! Thanks!

That is a new change as well. You no longer need the 24 month commitment in some circumstances! The requirement of a commitment is account specific.

While I wasn't too thrilled with $5 added to my bill it doesn't sting as much with the Hd Platinum for 12 months.Now if I could get some ppv coupons..

Are those of us with AEP + HD platinum (or whatever its called) and who in their 14 years of service with Dish have NEVER purchased a PPV event or movie (never redeemed a free PPV coupon because we do not watch PPV EVER) going to get any kind of discount? Or are we getting more worthless paper and a "thank you for your money, sucker" note?

Not a complaint. A real question.

I would like to say thanks to Dish as well! Since coming back to Dish last July (AT120HD) I've gotten a lot of extras besides the new customer deal. I've gotten 3 free months of Starz and Platinum, a free month of Encore, some free pay per view coupons, and several channels each month to preview. Plus now I'm getting Platinum free for a year. With my limited budget, Dish is by far the best value for me. I don't think the cable companies will ever come close.

went on chat and tried to change a free year of encore (which i dropped in nov because i didn,t watch it at all) for a free year of starz (they gave me three free months when i cancelled encore) and was told there was no way they could do that. so now i have something i didn,t want in the first place. big deal. congrats to those of you who actually got something worth watching.

I'd like to add my thanks to Dish for having all those national HD channels, the free Starz for a year is nice too. Add in a few PPV coupons now and then, free HD and the other promos that have come along the way and I'm a happy camper. Not to mention the excellent 722k...

I have to agree and Thank Dish Network also,not only is Dish Network the most versatile service I have ever had.Their 722k/wMT2 is just one awesome DVR!.
