The view in HD?

It's on the ABC feed so there is no logical reason for it not to be in HD. Are you sure you are not watching the SD ABC channel?

since it is a network program it is sent to the affiliates in HD as a pass through so it should be in HD

syndicated shows the affiliate has to have the equipment necessary to be able to record the HD feed and play it back. Thats why some affiliates show it in HD and some dont

It could be that the station doesn't play it at the time the feed is coming down. They may record it and play it back at a different time. The station may not have a way to record and play back HD.

On The View webiste, there is a "when to watch" function by state. It shows all CA ABC stations airing it at the same time...10:am Pacific.

It is, but the gaggle of women there won't look any better though.

Not with the lighting and the gauzey camera lenses they use on Barbara Walters. There is so much light on her it blurs her face when they show her close up to hide all the wrinkles.

As far as Bah Bah is concerned, welcome to VANITY HD!!! All comments about how they "gauze her" are absolutely true. Google it!!

The View airs live from New York at 11:00 ET, so in CA it is recorded...

But it is recorded and re-fed by ABC at 10 AM PT. It would be if it was recorded by the individual station that the recording delay issue would kick in. It could still be a station issue. The only market in CA that I can think of w/Brighthouse is Bakersfield and those stations run on less than a shoestring budget.
