Something is going on...

I just did a whois on voom.com - and the database was updated 03/02/2005 @ 2:27 EST. It is still owned by CV and operated by CV - have no idea what the changes were

This is getting nuts! Everyone outside of VOOM seems to be saying that it is walking to it's grave, but everyone on the inside seems to be saying that either there is still hope to business as normal - every company I have been with that has closed shop (more than my share), does not do this if they know the end is imenent - they start actuially closing up shop, instead of telling customers that everything is okay and still working on advancements...

Now, I'm even more confused - I just checked it again, and it has appaently been updated already... @ 2-Mar-2005 14:41:11 EST.

With everything going on, I had to have a few drinks - so maybe I am seeing things... Here is the whois output from the two different checks...

That's 0.46% of 10 million, not .000001%. VOOM has almost doubled its' subscribers in the last three months. If VOOM can maintain this kind of momentum (and the latest drama is only going to help) *D and *E has reason to be concerned.

As long as VOOM survives all satellite and cable subscribers, not just VOOM subscribers, benefit from the pressure VOOM puts on the entertainment industry to increase HDTV content.
