My First 3 Months!Time for A Reveiw.
Equipment bought and being used! Sadoun Solomend HD receiver,6 ft sadoun dish with a QARL 3624 actuator and a DMX741 LNB,also a powerbox (v box10) from Galaxy Marketing.

Review> After a rocky start and seeing both my g-box3000 and HARL 3624 actuator going bad, several Dish and LNB tweaking and tree cutting to get LOS i have to say that its looking good now.As of today i have 36 satellites stored from 30 to 135 west. Ku and C seem to be working equally well!I have logged several s2 channels and at least a dozen HD channels. My latest achievment was to get the RTV channels on AMC3 today with a good steady signal. Most of the TPs i have received so far have been from blindscans.I am now looking for tps that the blindscan missed.Cons! not many but there are a few! One is that i need to fine tune when i go to a satellite sometimes!Actuator not aways stopping right where it should but i can live with that.Setting up my favorites is ok but i dont like the idea of a blindscan changing the names on my favorite list back to what it was before. At least for me i have no remorse on not getting a bigger dish! This 6 footer is pulling in alot! including s2.Searching for feeds is really fun!you never no what you may pick up.Doing some house cleaning now with the receiver!getting rid if out of date TPs.Thats it for now! Will be interesting when winter comes and see how all the snow and ice effects the dish set up. Stan!

Stan,

Glad to hear the 6ft is working so well for you. Just like you I am quickly approaching the 3 month mark with my new 10ft antenna on the ground:)

Its performing beyond my wildest expectations with LOS from 135W to 55W.

I figure about another 6-8 weeks here on the coast and we'll lose most of the leaves. Then I'll see if I can see any birds farther east.

Enjoy the dish and hope the winter is kind to you with it up on the roof!

Glad to see your new system is working well also paraclip!Hopeing my systems survive the new england winters well! My 6 footer is on a back deck so that will be easy to keep a look after in the winter but my .9 meter motorized ku is on the garage roof!Snow and ice should melt pretty fast in the winter sun with both dishes facing south and in the open. Took alook at your monster on the roof and the new 10 footer!in the gallery! Very nice!!.

Hi Stan,
Glad to hear of your success.
What is this white stuff you are talking about:D?
I've got (I think) a few minor problems left.
I'm thinking of a huge umbrella to keep the hot
sun off the dish:D.
Enjoy

Thanks Shankle!Well summer is heading to its end!Around here the real hot stuff will be gone within a months time!not sure when it really starts to cool off where your located. So keep cool, dry and keep us updated on how your progressing. Stan!
