tiger woods in car crash

orlandosentinel.com just released accident photos, story said something that from the crash photos, the damage to the front windshield didn't happen upon impact of crash.

and yes, if fhp gets their warrant and they find evidence from the hospital to indicate...domestic violence, use of a non prescribed controled substance or a higher than normal blood alcohol level and so forth, they could go to the DA and ask that charges be filed.

i see the real possibility of obstruction of justice charges being filed here.
I'm guessing Tiger go into his vehicle and didn't leave at first. I bet she started smacking the car and then he started to drive off. She might have hit the front windshield while he was stopped in front of the house. I know many people have 24 hour video surveillance . I would be surprised if Tiger didn't .

i don't believe dui is a traffic violation. yes, they can get him for obstruction of justice. but the bottom line still remains what happened at the hospital, he desperately doesn't want anyone to know about. at this point in time, i think it goes beyond domestic violence or whether or not he was legally drunk when he crashed.
But you crash and cause damage while under the influence it doesn't matter if you're on the public highway or in your driveway I believe.

Not true at all. Florida law (741.2901) states, in part:

That seems to deal with injunctions. Meaning if somene violates an injunction the victim does not have to do anything.

In this case there is no injunction..

I recently (in the last 6 months) was involved becuase a good friend of mine had been beaten by her boyfriend. The police were called the had to goto the hospital it was so bad. They took pictures did the whole nine.. The police asked her if she wanted to press charges and file a statement, she asked what happens if she did neither and the officer told us they couldnt do anything unless she was willing to press charges and fill out the statement.

Unless the victim makes a statement the state can not pursue criminal charges as there would be no victim. No victim = no crime. (in this case at least) Now once she filled out the statement, and all the pictures were taken, the state could still take up the case if she chose not to pursue it (because they have her sworn statement as the victim).

To answer the quesiton about public/private property etc..

Just so you know the Isleworth community where tiger lives is private property. The whole place. Even the streets are owned by the community and everything in the area. They have their own security force and the WPD do not even patrol the streets. The whole subdivision is private property.

in a gated community, i'm sure there are security cameras all over the place.

There are Cameras at the gates. I doubt there are cameras through out the streets (talk about residence complaining about privacy issues)

Every resident has access to the gates camera (it comes through the cable system)

and who the hell are you???? You are either a very nosy individual who loves gossip or for what ever reason you want to see tiger crash and burn.Again this isn't your business nor is it mine
Man , You guys are way to sensitive. Don't read my post and ignore me then. Wow. Instead of posting about what happen you get mad when some post facts. It's not gossip at all. Tiger is not telling the truth. If it only happened inside his house and the police didn't get involved I would say you're correct. But that's not what happened.

Did you accuse me of being sensitive??!! Just because I stated you were no lawyer? Because that is A FACT...! LOL! Unless you can prove me wrong...;)

Wow an awful lot of specualtion and outright misinformation in this thread.

DUIs are traffic violations. They are normally misdemeanors but can rise to felony offenses if we are talking about repeat offenses. But they are still traffic violations.

in most states you can get a DUI witout actually operating the vehicle. All you need to do is demonstrate intent to operate it. Yes you could get a DUI for operating your vehicle in that state ina gated community. the laws of th jurisdiction still apply.

but with a ll of that said i know of no evidence to suggest that Woods was in a state of intoxication or even impairment. Perhaps he was but it really is pointless to guess.

I remember when I worked in California and someone who worked with us got arrested for DUI after getting in his car and falling asleep in the parking lot . He was convicted.

Go back and read it again. The statute clearly states injunctions and the filing of criminal charges.

Tiger Releases Statement

I don't think it's been posted here yet, so here's the words straight from the man himself and as posted on TigerWoods.com.....

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

TigerWoods.com: Statement from Tiger Woods

tiger didn't write a word of that. probably a combo of spokesperson and lawyer.

I can only imagine the talking going on with Tiger and his lawyer about how to post the message to his website.

Tiger" We had a fight"
Lawyer" Translation, We talked over who was going to go out to get milk"

Tiger " She hit me'
Lawyer" I tripped over the XBOX while playing Tiger Woods 2010 "

Tiger " I locked myself in my car"
Lawyer" I secured myself for a safe ride to the store"

Tiger " I drank and got behind the wheel"
Lawyer" I had a small glass of wine"

Tiger "I was beat up and drunk and lost control of my car"
Lawyer" I thought I saw a deer that looked just like Bambi and swerved to avoid it"

Tiger" My wife tried to pull me out of the car so she could finish the job on my face"
Lawyer" My wife flipped over the car while it was on fire and risked her life while holding her baby in one hand to save my life. "

Tiger" I'm a bad driver"
Lawyer" I'm a unlucky driver. What a stupid place to put a fire hydrant."

Welcome to the world of lawyers.
