Tigers vs Cardinals in world series

Lol. I don't fall asleep due to boredom or anything -- I'd love to stay up to watch the last half of the game. But I get up at 4am, and I've always been a bit of an early riser, so after 10pm I'm pretty much on borrowed time.

I can usually make it till midnight, MNF training I guess, but thats about it.

All Star break is over, and I'm looking forward to a Tigers pennant run. Unfortunately, if we make it to the series we will have home field advantage, and you know how that worked out for the Red Wings and the Pistons.

I was 5 years old also in 1984 and I do remember them winning.

Its good for the city that they are finally winning again

I was 10 and I remember Gibson, Whitaker, Trammel, Morris and the rest. The Tigers are my second favorite team all because of Sparky.

I remember the '84 team like it was yesterday, I was and am a Big Trammell fan, It was sad to see him take the fall for the Tigers the last several years, I like Leyland just as well, but , Tram did not have the Healthy players Jim, does and the pitching staff is a year more mature and rounding into shape now.

Lets see.... I was 24 when the Tigers last won it !!!!

Mine is Tigers win the series 2-1, Detroit loses the first game if Nate Robertson starts for Detroit.

I take it you have no confidence in Nate ?
I think he will do fine...
What you need to watch is how both team play in the 7-8-9th innings.
Both teams have a tendacy to score big runs in the late innings.
This series will come down to the bullpens......
Hopefully Roller coaster Jones will have a good streach of outings.
ChiSox pen has not been all that good as of late either.
It should be interesting.

Hopefully Tigers take 2 out of three, perferably the first 2, then anything can happen in the third game.

Hitting and pitching, make that timely hitting will win this series.

I thought I saw that ESPN HD would be picking up a game, it's about time...
I'll probably get blacked out on ESPN....
