Personally, having played a little Half-Life and seen the great Portal demos...I'd vote Orange Box.
Honestly have not played Timeshift despite being a demo junkie, but hard to side against Orange Box if you are remotely infatuated with FPS games.
Definitely TimeShift
I own both. If you are looking for the game with better visuals and better action, TimeShift is the way to go. Portal is more of a puzzle than a game and Episode 2 is just average.
As far as multiplayer goes, its much easier to jump into a timeshift game because Team Fortress is team-based only.
