TNTHD Is Using Natural Wide Mode

I'm watching Surviving the Game after the Basketball game and it is now quite obvious that they are using a Natural Wide stretch mode. The center 3rd of the screen is normal and as objects move toward the outside edge, they get increasingly stretched.

I think this is a great compromise for non HD material, it makes the content watchable, the PQ on this movie is outstanding. :)
 
Yeah and it looks much better than my Mits 65411's non linear stretch mode, which looks very distracting.
 
It'd be nice if TNT got behind some of the conversions themselves. Look, I want Die Hard HD in DD 5.1. TNT and TBS show that movie alot. Of course, that's the worst "dubbed for content" movie ever. Anyway, is TNT not doing DD 5.1?
 
They are supposed to do DD5.1 but they had major audio problems yesterday. I am sure that they will resolve this and we will get DD5.1. I know the sporting events is going to have DD5.1. I do not know if every movie will...
