toshiba canvio tb

Just wondering if anybody had a canvio 1tb hard drive to work with the micro hd and if there was something special needed for it.
mine just locks things up and is not recognized. hardrive works fine connected to my laptop.
i did try searching for that hard drive thread, but i am on break and ran out of time at work.

i do have a toshiba something ordered that has an external power supply. to try also later

Yes you need one with an external power supply. If the canvio does not, I would not try and use it anymore.
