I hope the blind scan is an improvement over the 6000. Aside from the blind scan procedure I love my 6000. Instead of scanning for the TPs then sanning again for the channel I wish it would scan the TP, then the channel then move on to the next TP and channel like the 3500. I was disappointed at first because the reason I bought the 6000 was that I thought the format would be almost the same as the 3500 only adding HD and H264.

If it is like our old 3606 with Sharp tuner it probably will do G19 Ku in around 4 minutes and hit everything. More powerful STB's are in the 2-2.5 minute range. As I recall from testing the Traxis 6000 when it first came out it took around 8 minutes on that bird and missed channels.

Scanned 99W cband.

More when I get home from office no cband at office Grrrr. Breaks sure go by fast with new toys.

*Still need to compare with other STB's to make sure its scanning everything.
