Time for sum yummy pizza for lunch haha
.

Not this one, never cared much for pizza to begin with. I doubt anyone will ever again see a pizza dish hooked up to any of my display devices. H2H would be fine by me if they expanded it a little bit. There's plenty of Chs on HITS I would sub to. Unfortunately the bigger majority of them that I would sub to are in a mode the 4dtvs can't decode. There's just not much in the current selection that interests me. My wife likes the ID Ch. But me, I don't care as much for it as she does...and I'm the boss..at least, when it comes to things like this. If I got her the ID Ch, she would dominate my BUD, since she would have that Ch on probably 10 or 11 hours a day.

I still don't see why this has to be one against the other. In fact, I don't see anything wrong with having both. Pizza can cover some stuff that you can't get on HITS, and HITS can cover some stuff that's in the highest tier on pizza (as well as some that's not available on pizza). If that works for you, then good.

There can be other advantages to having both as well. Such as being able to view one more additional source of programming on more than one TV. Plus, when those thunder clappers come rolling through, HITS is one more source that won't go out. When the skies are clear, pizza lets you watch TV Land, or the game on FSN or ESPN. They both have something to offer.

I know there can be personal feelings about each. But if you don't get caught up in that, you could possibly benefit from both.

Cheers

Some of us (me) thought they were considering adding channels and expanding service (more satellites).I talked to one of their reps yesterday, he said the x4-w5 bird was full, with no room for anything else. Maybe soapnet. Soapnet ?, who wants that. Again I thoought someone mentioned they would sell us channels on their other bird if we could come up with a receiver. Some of us (me) would like some feedback or discussion on this.

soapnet is changing to disney jr come Jan 1

Then will we be able to get it? Why would Disney let us have XD and not Jr?

Many in the family are going to be PO'd about SoapNet going away, many rely on it for watching Y&R during non work hours without a DVR. Guess I'm going to have to show them how to watch it online on CBS.com?

That's the the problem! They want "YOU" to fork over a million dollars to have receiver's built. Then, they will sell you the channels!

I say this would work with de-commisioned Starchoice/Shaw boxes. All they'd have to do is authorize them by unit ID# just like the DSR-410/905/920/922's we use now.

They are working on other channels but some seem to forget the snags that came along with the increased fee's from Motorola this year which were not passed on to the subs and red tape involved with adding channels. I did add the full latest channels update here: 4DTV Online 4DTV Programming

I thought motorola shut down the consumer ACC and got out of the 4DTV business? Are they still running the show?

I read your paragraph about Concerning New Channels in 2011. This didn't work in the past, so I don't see how you think it might work in the future. In the past I supported CBand programming to the tune of around 100 bucks a month. Didn't change a thing, and didn't help a thing either. But at least back then I got my money's worth, since I got to sub to the biggest majority of masters, incuding HBO and DiscoveryHD. So I don't regret supporting CBand at that time, since I did actually get enjoyment out of my money. As much as I loved the masters, the HITS feeds are not that bad to look at, it's just that the selection sux for many of us. Even if they got the 4 Playboy channels..that's nothing I would be interested in subbing to. I'm thinking more like TNT, TBS, USA, FoxNews, CNN, Cartoon Net..things along that line. And ironically, I believe HITS has these channels, well, except for the fact we can't get them because of limitations on our end. That's what someone should be working on, investing a little money in..fixing this problem with the limitations that prevent us from subbing to pretty much all HITS has. If a small cable company needed newer or better boxes, in order to provide their customers with a better selection, I would be willing to bet it might get done.

There are limitations with our receivers agreed. The Playboys could spaun a fare amount of $$$$$ though by getting others interested. This is what is needed. It costs money to do things, even Map Master is an expense. If porn can help support more regular channels for us in the future, its a necessary evil needed. I would not sub to it myself since I'm a family type guy but many would. Heck, American Triple XXX Ecstasy sold a lot of VC-2's and subscriptions back in the day.

I think the porn is a good idea. If priced alot lower than pizza porn. Otherwise it'll be failure too.

I would say the greatest majority of people that want porn get it off of the Internet now. I do not think that Hits offering porn would bring in hardly any subscribers. They would have to offer it mighty cheap.

Just reminding everyone that HBO/Cinemax, Showtime/TMC, is all up there on X4 and compatible.

HITS Quantum on AMC 18 at 105.0°W - LyngSat

Lets all mass email (and snail-mail) them.

What I want to know is whether they can legally do this? I mean we're not going directly thru them. HITS would be like Walmart. Walmart sells items that belongs to other vendors. Imagine going into Walmart, then discovering you can't buy Kraft brand products because you are a CBander. Come on, no way could they get away with discrimination like that, so why is HBO getting away with discrimination against us in the same way? Just for the record, since I used to enjoy HBO and Cinemax. I would likely sub to these if they were available to us.
