After finally getting a working 722 installed on Friday with a 1000.2 dish, the installer commented after doing the check switch that getting over a 60 reading on the signal meters was a thing of the past.
110=50's, 119=50's, 129=low 20's
On Saturday I marked all settings on the dish with a Sharpie, so I could return to those setting if I couldn't get a better SS. Fortunately the dish is outside my office window where I have a tv I could crank the volume up on and open the window. Just by moving the elevation, skew, and azimuth a fraction, 1/16"-1/8" I was able to get the readings to 110=70, 119=82, 129=52 on their home transponders.:D

82 on 119

I believe the main thing I corrected was the mast. The installer mounted it to a 6x6 post on my deck and assumed it was plumb. I checked and it was not, plumbed it, then tweaked the other settings! It still amazes me that just a 1/32" can make so much difference!
