Not new. I think I noticed it after U527. I had hoped it was something more...like Prime
It is much older than that. I bought my first Wally in June 2017, and I have had that app the whole time. (Of course, I did not get high-speed internet at my house until November 2017, so I have only been able to actually use it since then.) It does seem to have more episodes available than the regular VOD. On the other hand, sometimes the VOD will have some episodes that are not available through the app, so you still need to check both places if an episode is missing.

Finally got the Update message from Dish. Looks like a maintenance update

Beginning January 23rd, a new software version will be deployed to all models of Hopper and Wally. The updated software will deploy to the existing receiver population over a period of several days. Receivers with a preload software version prior to the current preload versions listed below are recommended to be downloaded in the office before installing for the customer.

January software release details:

  • Improvements to address “0 of 0 tuners in use” issue and MoCA connectivity issues
    • ?This will address system freezing and black screen with banner issues?
  • Fix for Hopper Internet Connector (HIC) invalid MAC address range
  • HDCP/HDMI TV power off stability improvement when Netflix or Youtube is used
January Software Versions

Hopper 3: U531
Hopper w/ Sling: U712
Hopper: U140
Hopper Duo: U622
Wally: U449

Yeah now the dish music app is not working right now none of the stations are not even playing using the iheaiHeartRadio app

I still see the "0 of 0 tuners in use" briefly when I go to the TV Activity screen on my Hopper Duo, but then it resolves itself and displays the tuner activity correctly. And, as I have said before, being able to get Youtube at all on the Hopper Duo and/or Wally would be nice. This version still does not do that.

January Software Versions

Hopper: U140
Hopper Duo: U622
Wally: U449
(Just because somebody had to say it): It seems ironic that a 622 is an upgrade from a Hopper Duo. :biggrin

I just tested Dish music on my Family Room Hopper3 running U531 and iheart radio, pandora, and amazon music all play fine. It does take several minutes when changing the music sources.

Dish Music still does not work properly on my Hopper Duo (but it never has worked) however, I am able to use the Dish Music app on my Wally. I am using DTS Play-Fi to send music from iHeartRadio (playing on my laptop) to my Wally right now. Does that still work for you? (In other words, is it only the phone app that is broken?)

I had to reset the hopper 3 DVR earlier it was switching stations constantly it is a very good app it just need some working for sure trying to get tunein and slacker on for a little bit.
