UHD Shifts Brand Focus
Net to Emphasize Movies and Sports

After two years operating as a catch-all network for the library of its corporate parent NBC Universal, high-definition network Universal HD is taking steps to forge its own distinct brand.

Starting this month, UHD will increase its programming focus on the two biggest drivers of HD viewership: movies and sports.

As long as they don't get rid of Firefly and BSG I am good with this! :D

Don't forget, Back to the Future Sunday night after BSG... :)

It has begun!! No more waste of Bandwidth hopefully! I know when i had Voom i loved to watch the movies on UNI. The Conans were so crisp and clear!:up :hungry:

I'd like to see repeats of last Seasons SNLs when they started HD, last Season of "My Name Is Earl", and the first 2 Seasons of "The Office"(US).

I wonder if they can get "Threshold." SciFi is showing it now, but I'd love to see it in HD (just bought the DVD actually). Of course we all seem to be asking for TV series rather than movies/sports. On the movie side, it would be nice if they could show 1 1/2 to 2-year old movies like Encore channels, Flix, Sundance, IFC, etc.
