Just don't accept the clients, if there's no plan for other TVs.
If he does not want to pay the WH fee, just take a DVR. But for the reasons I outline in my post, I think that would be a mistake.

Personally, if it were my call I would take the Genie 44 and cancel the Clients as you mentioned.
You can never have too many tuners at your disposal ...
I didn't think I'd ever need more than 2 either, till I found 2 of my shows that I record shows up at the same time and I want to watch something else and watch the recordings later.
