I havent taken a look at the uplink today, but the two D61.5 and 148, never had an engineering flag and has been avaible to subs sence they were uplinked :)

Odd... the file I have on 7/19 has them uplinked as engineering.

Nope they have been available since they have been uplinked. :)

I guess some of the SDT/NIT gurus need to teach me then as I must have misunderstood goalie's previous explanation of engineering vs non-engineering:

Previous entry:

Code:
SDT Channel 9902
Service Name: D61.5
Provider Name:
Transport Stream ID: 131 (0x0083) 61.5W 12.661 R 20000 5/6 QPSK, DVB-S

Original Network ID: 4098 (0x1002)
Descriptor: Linkage Descriptor
Transport Stream ID: 129 (0x0081) 61.5W 12.632 R 20000 3/4 QPSK, DVB-S
Original Network ID: 4098 (0x1002)
Service ID: 36861
Linkage Type: Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) service
Descriptor: User Private Descriptor: 0x93

 3e 84 >.

Descriptor: User Private Descriptor: 0x86

 01 01 23 28 00 fc ff ..#(...

Descriptor: User Private Descriptor: 0x84

and now:

Code:
SDT Channel 9902
Service Name: D61.5
Provider Name:
Transport Stream ID: 131 (0x0083) 61.5W 12.661 R 20000 5/6 QPSK, DVB-S

Original Network ID: 4098 (0x1002)

Transport Stream ID: 129 (0x0081) 61.5W 12.632 R 20000 3/4 QPSK, DVB-S
Original Network ID: 4098 (0x1002)
Service ID: 36861
Linkage Type: Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) service
Descriptor: User Private Descriptor: 0x93

 3e 84 00 00 00 10 >.....

Descriptor: User Private Descriptor: 0x86

 01 01 00 1e 00 ff ff .......

"7967 - KNDX removed engineering flag". Digiblur, this one switched from one engineering to another engineering. The latter being somewhat more recent in usage for special circumstances.

I have no info on the D61.5 and D148 thing as my sample was later in the day. I will say it is highly unusual for them to uplink an available channel witout an EPG entry already in place.

digiblur is correct, when they were uplinked they were engineering, Cause I tried to view the channels when you reported them being added and couldn't. I tried a day or two later and could

01 01 23 28 00 fc ff ..#(...

The line above = engineering

01 01 00 1e 00 ff ff .......

The line above = Non Engineering :)

bob, only third and fourth byte are belong to the kind, not whole descriptor
