I think I've figured out the scheme...

In these trying economic times, Dish can't afford to bring some of the most requested HD channels online, so they will be offering all of them on an HDPPV basis...

Want to watch O-Reilly? $5
Want to watch Dave Ramsey? $5
Catch a flick on Chiller? $5

What a great solution!

They'll be rolling in the dough in no time! :up

You have to roll Charlie in flour to find his wet spot!

7866 is the nat pbs feed for my market. Does that mean they are going to put the Wichita Falls HD locals on 72.7,instead of 61.5 like they originally promised?
Can 72 be tuned in with a 300 dish like I'm currently using for 61.5?

Weird, all the HD PPV vanished from the guide? I get 110, 119, 61 and 77. Dish seems to have turned off the 61.5 HD PPV.

it could be placeholders for future national hd channels. you never know;)
I agree. It dawned on Charlie one day that if he has slots available but no channels ready, why not put up something that might pay a few bucks while it's sitting there rather than something that just cost him money (like demo or info channels).

If I'm not mistaken, TP 27 is a "new" transponder on 72.7W. HDPPV channels 541 thru 548 were removed from 61.5 yesterday, clearing TP 27 (and part of 16) over there. These new HDPPV channels on 72.7 (535 thru 540) could be replacing some of those, and making room for additional (HD?) channels on 61.5.

Don't give Charlie any ideas he may not have thought of that one yet.

Just so you know this is PPV added to the 72.5 ,so I'm not sure what your talking about.

Yes, I realize that, and was being sarcastic. I'm just about done waiting around for E* to add more HD channels. I have the HD only package, and I figured that we'd see Comedy Central HD like 9 months ago. We havn't and I'm about to jump ship to cable just so I can see Comedy Central (even if it is SD...) There is NO way I'd pay for the over-compressed crap that is E* Standard Def Mpeg2 monstrosity. (My cable company is hybrid digital and has all the SD channels in MPEG4 now... finally)
