Viacom HD?

BET
Comedy Central
CMT
MTV
Nickelodeon
VH1
Spike

tjwgrr,

I agree the Viacom channels are the most likely New HD additions. If you want the HD channels owned by Fox Networks; FX, Speed, Fox News, Fox Business, etc, you are likely to be disappointed.

Dish and Fox have a rocky relationship, currently the two companies are in litigation and until it is settled you are not going to see any Fox Network additions.

They did it when they removed VOOM... They'll remove VS/Golf, then add "VS" and "Golf" and claim "2 new HD channels".
I have a feeling they will claim 10 new channels, including Golf and VS. I have a feeling the current channel for Vs/Golf will be recycled for another channel. Perhaps ESPN-U or Outdoor Channel.

Take a look at the numbers...

9428 - TMP20 [MPEG4 HD] added to EchoStar11 110W TP 07 ConUS beam (NA)

Look at wheer TMP25 and TMP26 are, and how far apart they are from the other Temps. Now look in your guide and see whats in the 947x range.

That is why I think they are some kind of sports channels.

I see WNDU (Ch 16 in South Bend) is showing active in HD now. On 61.5 Can anyone confirm that it is available? If so, I will be installing my old Dish 500 pointed to 61.5 and hoping they get the rest of the locals up soon. No chance of the South Bend locals coming to 110, 119 or 129?? Probably not, but thought I would ask. Never hurts to ask!

Update: I see they added it and removed it...I guess it isn't available yet. DARN

It wasn't removed. They removed the SD version of this channel since the HD one is now active.

From TheList
9470 - Lifetime
9471- Lifetime Move Network
9472 - TMP E on 129 only (TP 19)
9473 - Golf
9474-5, TMP25-6
9476-7 Empty
9478 - HBO-W
9479 - Action Max

ESPN, ESPN 2, and NFL are 9424-9426

I'm sorry, but I don't see how that says sports. Golf is the only sports channel there.

In fact, looking at were the TMPs were filled in (along with VS and Golf), they just took every empty slot from 9419 to 9475, with the exception of 9450, which is something called INFO5.

Of course, you could have info I don't about what's coming.

So why are there two HD locals on a CONUS transponder? Do they not have any beam that covers those two DMAs at all?
