NHL players in the Olympics are done after this year. The NHL needed Salt Lake and Vancouver for the exposure but wanted out as of Sochi, then if you all remember, Ovechkin called BS and stated he was playing for Russia no matter what...which started pressure from Russian players etc

With the Islanders' Taveres getting hurt along with no incentive playing in South Korea in 2018, this is the last we'll see of NHL players in the Olympics for a long while. This means get ready for Russian dominance from '18 onwards (KHL).
